Eddie Who

Eddie Who? is a band dedicated to the innovative funky genius Eddie Harris
Harris, a Chicago native, is known for his musical instrument invention – the Varitone (an electric pickup and effects unit for saxophone). Some lesser known inventions include  the reed trumpet (a trumpet with a saxophone mouthpiece), the saxobone (a saxophone with a trombone mouthpiece) and the guitorgan  a combination of guitar and organ) Eddie is best known for his funky tunes- Listen Here and Freedom Jazz Dance. Eddie Who? digs into some of his lesser played material with swing, latin and funk feels and some beautiful ballads.

One thing is for sure – whatever Eddie Harris composed or played, it always grooved and felt great!
